Houston,TX : Man charged in crash that killed 8-year-old on June, Sunday 25th 2017

A Houston man was impaired Sunday during a rollover crash on the East Freeway that killed a child and injured three other people, police said Thursday.
Carlos Cardenas, 51, remains in custody under a $10,000 after being charged with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, Houston police said.
He lost control of a Ford Explorer in the 10100 block of the East Freeway about 5:30 p.m. when the right rear tire began to lose thread. The sports utility vehicle veered out of its lane before striking the concrete highway divider and rolling over several times, authorities said.
An 8-year-old girl was thrown from the SUV. She was taken to the Texas Medical Center where she died Wednesday. Her identity was not released.
A second child, 5, who also was thrown and two female passenger, 47 and 13, were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries. A male passenger, 28, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where his condition wasn't known.
