DENVILLE, NJ : A woman and three teenagers were injured in a two-car crash on April, Thursday 13th 2017
Route 46 Thursday evening, police said.
The crash occurred near the highway's intersection with Crestview Road at about 7:51 p.m. when a westbound vehicle driven by Laura Unger, 29, of Wharton, crossed over the double yellow center lines into the eastbound side of Route 46, police said.
Unger's vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle operated by a 17-year-old from Lincoln Park, causing major damage to both vehicles, police said. Two teen passengers were also in the vehicle operated by the 17-year-old.
Both drivers and the two teen passengers were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions as of Friday afternoon were not available.
Both drivers were issued summonses in connection with the crash -- Unger for her failure to maintain lane and reckless driving, and the teen for violating the provisional license passenger limit, police said.
Route 46 was closed between Crestview Road and Valley Road for about an hour while the crash was investigated.
