TEQUESTA, FL : Tequesta man, 88, killed in crash near border of Palm Beach and Martin counties on Sunday, 26th January, 2020

An 88-year-old Tequesta man died Sunday evening in a crash near border of Palm Beach and Martin counties, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Raymond Griggs died at Jupiter Medical Center, where paramedics took him after the wreck on Southeast Country Club Drive, FHP said in a crash report.

The crash took place shortly after 5 p.m. FHP said Griggs lost control of the the 2014 four-door Ford vehicle he was driving. It veered off the road onto the grassy shoulder, hitting a tree and then a fence before entering a retention pond.
