Terre Haute, IN : A truck driver from Colorado was killed in a semi crash on Friday, July 7, 2017
A truck driver from Colorado was killed in a semi crash on eastbound Interstate 70 about 1:30 this afternoon near Mile Marker 45 in Putnam County, according to Indiana State Police.
Troopers said preliminary investigation showed the driver lost control for unknown reasons, and the semi left the road and struck a guard rail.
The driver, a 59-year-old man, was taken to Putnam County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Police are notifying the man's family.
The crash investigation continues.
