Two boys riding on one bike were injured when their bicycle collided with a van at the intersection of West 18th and Liberty streets Thursday afternoon, according to Erie police.
The crash was reported at 4:22 p.m. A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Erie police.
Police said the boys were heading north on the sidewalk on Liberty Street when they proceeded through a red light at the intersection with West 18th Street and were hit by the van, which was heading west on West 18th Street through a green light, police said.
