Buffalo, NY : Two hurt in motorcycle-minivan crash near Olcott on Sunday, September 24th 2017
Two people were injured shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday when their westbound motorcycle struck a minivan that made a left turn in front of them on West Lake Road (Route 18), just west of Olcott, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The two riders were thrown from the motorcycle, deputies said, and were taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. Their names and the extent of their injuries were not released. Four people in the minivan did not need medical attention, deputies noted.
Investigators said the minivan failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming motorcycle when it attempted to turn onto Lockwood Heights Road from West Lake Road in front of Black Willow Winery. An investigation is continuing.
