Ardmore, OK : A Marietta man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle on Monday, June 12, 2017
A Marietta man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and was run over by a semi truck.
John D. Dvorak, 56, was driving at high speeds when he lost control of his 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 motorcycle and slid into another lane, according to a police report.
The driver of the semi-truck, Thomas D. Kasper, 55, of Kansas, told police that he tried to swerve to miss Dvorak but couldn’t and ran him over.
Dvorak was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical examiner.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. on southbound I-35 just north of mile marker 24 and four miles south of Ardmore.
Kasper sustained no injuries and was not under the influence of anything according to the report.
The condition of Dvorak is still under investigation.
