Barclay , MD : Trooper and another driver were injured when their vehicles collided in Queen Anne's County on Wednesday early morning, December 10th 2014

Maryland State Police say a trooper and another driver were injured when their vehicles collided in Queen Anne's County.

It happened about 6 a.m. Wednesday in Barclay. Police say 43-year-old Senior Trooper John P. Sayles was driving to a crash with his patrol cruiser's emergency lights and siren activated. Officers say a car driven by 59-year-old Bonnie L. Meta of Barclay drove into the path of the cruiser.

Sayles was treated and released at a local hospital; Meta is being treated at the hospital.

Meta was charged with negligent driving and other traffic offenses.
