Medina, OH : Teens hurt in Sharon Township crash on Wednesday, February 22nd 2017
Four juveniles were injured after crash Wednesday afternoon at Fixler and Boneta roads in Sharon Township.
According to Ohio Highway Patrol Sgt. Alan Dunbar, a 17-year-old female was driving a 2010 GMC Canyon truck with three male passengers south on Boneta Road. Two of the males are age 17 and one is 16.
A Ford F-350 truck driven by Michael Rodgers, of Canton, was hauling a trailer and struck the GMC on the driver side about 4:25 p.m., Dunbar said.
Rodgers was not injured.
As of Thursday morning, two of the passengers were listed in critical condition and the driver and one other passenger were “stable.”
Authorities did not disclose identities of the juvenile crash victims.
Three were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and one male was taken to Akron General Medical Center.
Sharon Township EMS, the Medina County Sheriff’s Office and Montville Township Police Department assisted the Ohio Highway Patrol at the scene.
Dunbar said the front-seat passenger and driver were wearing seat belts, but there was no information on the back-seat passengers.
The investigation is continuing. Dunbar said the driver suffered a concussion, which delayed questioning.
