Washington, PA : One injured in I-79 crash on April, Saturday 1st 2017

One person was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital Saturday after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Chartiers Township.

A Washington County 911 supervisor said the accident occurred about 10 a.m. on the southbound side of the interstate, just before the Racetrack Road exit.

A firefighter on the scene said the victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital. Further details were not available.
