PIKESVILLE, MD : 18-year-old in critical condition after crashing stolen vehicle on Friday, 2nd August 2019

An 18-year-old is in critical condition after crashing a stolen vehicle Friday morning in Pikesville.

Baltimore County Police say they were called to the area of 100 Purvis Place at around 2:14 a.m. for a report of a stolen Jeep Cherokee. After locating the vehicle, an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, however the driver of the Jeep failed to stop and lost control of the vehicle before striking a fence and overturning.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected and is in critical condition.
