Ionia, MI : Belding woman dies in 2 vehicle accident on Friday, 26th August, 2016

A Belding woman died Friday night in a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Grand River Avenue and Morrison Lake Road.

The accident occurred at 6:57 p.m., according to the Ionia County Sheriff's Office. A SUV traveling west collided with a car traveling north. The car rolled over and came to rest in front of the Kountry Korners party store, located at 7122 Grand River Avenue.

The Belding woman was described as being in her 20s, according to the ICSO. There were three people in each vehicle, including two small children. Four other people were hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The cause of the accident has not been determined.

The Michigan State Police, Saranac Fire Department, Campbell Township Fire Department, Life EMS Ambulance, Reed and Hoppes Towing and Lake Funeral Home also responded to the scene of the accident.
