Pine Bluff,AR : One killed and one hurt in accident on may,monday 8th 2017

One man was killed and a second injured in a one-vehicle traffic accident in Pine Bluff Monday afternoon. Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley identified the victim as Enoch Scott, 58, of Pine Bluff, who was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Eric Belcher at 5:58 p.m.

According to a press release from Pine Bluff Police Lt. David De Foor and a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Scott was a passenger in a 2002 Toyota that was westbound on 17th Avenue near Willow Street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees.The driver of the car, identified as Kenneth Porter, 51, of Arlington, Texas, was taken to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock by air ambulance;police reported Monday night that his condition was critical. The accident was reported at 4:57 p.m. and was the 167th fatality in the state this year.
