Motorcycle wreck kills one injures another in Gainesville Georgia
Hall County's 911 center got two ominous calls at about 1:00 p.m. Friday, both reports of motorcycle accidents. One in Hall County killed a man, and one in Gainesville injured another.
The State Patrol worked the accident in the county that occurred on Friendship Road. 39 year old Terry Ray Jones of Flowery Branch was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a mini-van making a left hand turn onto Atlanta Highway from Friendship Road.
25 year old Jessica Barnhart of Gainesville, who was driving the van, was not injured. The State Patrol is awaiting test results before issuing any charges.A Dawsonville man suffered a broken leg as a result of a traffic accident involving his motorcycle on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville Friday afternoon.
"The motorcycle was traveling southbound and a vehicle that was in the turning lane, apparently turning into the Westminster Christian School, made a left hand turn and hit the motorcycle," said Gainesville Police Lt. Jeff Harris.
Harris identified the victim as 24-year-old Shannon Finnell. Shannon Garner, a nursing supervisor at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, said Finnel was listed in satisfactory condition Saturday morning
