A Limington, Maine, car crash between a tractor and car shut down traffic in the area for hours and hospitalized one of the drivers.
Police say the crash occurred at 4:13 a.m. Tuesday when Limerick resident Richard Chaput crashed his car into an agricultural tractor operated by Gaetan Paulin of Limington. Police say Caput apparently did not see the tractor as he followed a turn in the road.
Limington Fire and Rescue extricated Chaput, who was transported to Maine Medical Center. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The tractor operator did not require medical care.
Paulin is an employee of Brackett's Apple Orchards and was headed to spray an orchard. Police say the spray chemicals did not pose a threat.
