GENESEE COUNTY, MI : SB US-23 back open after crash on Wednesday, 6th September 2023

Two people were injured following a crash on southbound US-23 on Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, Sept. 6 about 9 p.m., a motor home was involved in a single-vehicle crash on US-23 near Exit 84 (Thompson Road), the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said.

All lanes of southbound US-23 were closed in that area while police were on the scene, and they were reopened early Thursday morning.

The driver, a 76-year-old man, sustained minor injuries, and the passenger, a 70-year-old woman, sustained serious leg injuries but is expected to survive, the sheriff’s office said.
