Two women were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning at Ohio 12 and Marion Township 212, just east of Findlay, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Ashley S. Nelson, 31, of Findlay, was driving a 2009 Cadillac CTS northeast on Ohio 12 about 9:12 a.m., and Hadeel J. Salameh, 24, of Findlay, was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V north on Marion Township 212 when she failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection stop sign, the sheriff’s office said. Salameh’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by Nelson’s vehicle.
Both women were injured and were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Emergency Medical Service, the sheriff’s office said.
Salameh was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign, the sheriff’s office said.
BG Towing and Frank’s Towing removed the heavily-damaged vehicles. Washington Township Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
