BIRMINGHAM, AL : 3 adults, 2 children injured in head-on collision in Birmingham on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

A head-on collision in Birmingham sent five people to the hospital Wednesday night, including two small children.

The collision occurred around 10 p.m. on 3rd Avenue West and involved two SUVs. Birmingham fire and police arrived and began helping the injured. The victims included three adults and two children. They were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries. No word yet on their conditions.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
