Perry, GA : Man killed in a wreck on Interstate 75 in Perry on Monday afternoon, July 11, 2016

A man died Monday afternoon from injuries he sustained in a wreck in Perry.

The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 75 when the man, driving a tractor-trailer, failed to maintain its lane and struck the back of a Ford Mustang that was on the side of the road due to mechanical problems, according to an email from the Georgia State Patrol.

The tractor-trailer overturned and the driver was taken to a Perry hospital where he died. The driver of the Mustang was taken to a Macon hospital with minor injuries.

The victim’s name was not released as of late Monday.
