Glens Falls, NY : Queensbury crash sends two to hospital on Wednesday August 31, 2016
A two-vehicle crash Wednesday sent two people to the hospital, with one being admitted overnight and the other treated and released.
The crash, at the intersection of Quaker Road and Highland Avenue, occurred when a Ford pickup truck struck a Chevrolet sedan, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
The pickup was operated by Scott Cornell, 56, of New Pine Street, Queensbury, who police said passed through a red light and struck a car driven by Pamela Legault, 57, of Birchwood Avenue, Hudson Falls.
Both Cornell and Legault were transported to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment, police said. Cornell was admitted to the hospital with minor injuries, and Legault was treated and released, according to a hospital official.
Cornell was issued a traffic ticket for passing through a red light, police said.
