Jersey City, NJ : A serious accident shut down traffic on U.S. 23 / 74 on Tuesday, July 25, 2017

A serious accident shut down traffic on U.S. 23 / 74 near exit 98 Tuesday afternoon, in the Balsam area, close to the rest area and Barber's Orchard.North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Kelly Rhodes said that there were at least two vehicles involved in the accident, including one Highway Patrol vehicle driven by Trooper Hunter Hooper.

Rhodes said Hooper was airlifted to Mission Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
