Glen Burnie,MD : Delaware woman killed when light rail train hits her car on October, Friday 13th 2017

A Delaware woman was killed when a light rail train hit her car in Maryland.

Anne Arundel County Police say the crash occurred Friday morning in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Officers say 63-year-old Denise Lorraine Thomas of Lewes, Delaware, tried to make a left turn across the tracks, even though “Do Not Enter” and “No Left Turn” signs are posted.

Authorities say Thomas’ car was hit by a train. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died. Her 12-year-old grandson, the only other person in the car, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
