COLORADO SPRINGS, CO ; 1 killed in crash involving 2 semis on Monday, 29th July 2024

A chain of events on I-25 overnight led to a deadly multi-vehicle collision just south of Colorado Springs.
According to construction workers at the scene of the crash, a Jeep was traveling southbound on the interstate when it flipped and rolled near the Mesa Ridge Parkway exit (132). An oncoming semi then plowed into the Jeep, throwing the driver from the vehicle. The driver landed in the road, in the path of a second oncoming semi.
Colorado State Patrol has not confirmed this information with 11 News but does tell reporter Kasia Kerridge one person was killed and two semis were involved.
