Conway, AR : Little Rock woman killed, Conway man injured in crash on Highway 9 in Perry County on Sunday, April 9, 2017
A Little Rock woman was killed and a Conway man injured in a two-vehicle crash over the weekend.
Tracey D. Fuhrman, 59, was killed and 45-year-old Victor Cummings was injured in a crash near the Highway 324 intersection on Highway 9 in Perry County shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Authorities said Fuhrman was heading north on Highway 9 in a 2016 Toyota Scion and Cummings was driving behind her in a 2014 Dodge Charger when Fuhrman slowed to turn left onto Highway 324.
“As [Fuhrman] began to turn left [she] was struck in the driver’s side rear by [Cummings],” the report stated. “[Fuhrman’s vehicle] overturned in the ditch and came to rest on its driver’s side facing east.”
Cummings was taken to a hospital in Morrilton, according to the report. His condition was not immediately available Monday.
Authorities said the roads were dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash.
Fuhrman’s death was the 128th fatality on Arkansas roadways this year, according to preliminary figures.
