Walhalla,SC : Authorities investigate S. Carolina crash that killed 3 on September, Saturday 23th 2017

Three people have been killed in a crash in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Oconee County Coroner’s office are investigating the wreck, which happened at around 6 p.m. Saturday near Walhalla High School.

The Highway Patrol says a pickup truck crossed the center line and hit a car head-on.

Troopers say both drivers were killed, as well as a passenger in the car. Another passenger from the car was flown to a hospital for treatment, and no identities have been released.

The county coroner’s office says two of the people killed were from Georgia, and the third was from North Carolina.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
