1 killed in crash with semi on I-40

All lanes of I-40 westbound have been reopened near Moriarty after a fatal crash involving a semi.According to New Mexico state police, a semi and passenger car registered out of Texas collided on Thursday morning. The semi had to come to a stop on the highway after the crash. That's when a second passenger car slammed into the back of the semi.The driver from the second passenger car was killed.I-40 was shutdown about a mile west of Moriarty for a few hours after the accident.No further information has been released.
