Laurens County, SC : Jonesville motorist dies in single-vehicle crash on Sunday, 9th September 2018

A motorist died after his vehicle went off the road and overturned in Laurens County early Sunday, the S.C. Highway Patrol said.

At 2:45 a.m., the motorist was southbound on S.C. 49 near A.D. Drive when the accident happened, about five miles north of Clinton.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol.

The Laurens County Coroner’s Office said the driver Jamarcus Dewayne Gregory, 27, of Jonesville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to multiple news outlets.

There were no passengers in the car, troopers said.
