Lafayette, CO : No one injured in head-on collision on U.S. 287, near South Boulder Road on Friday, 29th November, 2019

No one was injured in a head-on collision Friday night on U.S. 287, near South Boulder Road in Lafayette.

A Ford Ranger was traveling northbound on U.S. 287, going too fast for icy conditions, when the driver lost control and slid across two lanes of traffic, according to Lafayette Police Department Cpl. Chad Nicaise. The Ranger collided head-on with a Honda Pilot that was traveling southbound and attempting to make a left turn.

There were two people in each of the vehicles and none were injured, Nicaise said.

Police closed a single southbound lane on U.S. 287 for about 35 minutes as they worked the scene.
