East Burke, VT : Bicyclist injured after being hit by a car on Alpine Lane on Monday, Oct 12, 2015

A bicyclist was injured Monday after being hit by a car in East Burke.

Vermont State Police said Collin Daulong, 29, of Burke, was driving northbound on Alpine Lane when he hit Pascal Rozon, 40, of Vaudreul-Sur-Le-Lac, Quebec.

Investigators said Daulong was driving downhill and around a curve and Rozon was cycling west through the woods when he crossed the road in front of Daulong.

Rozon was vaulted over Daulong’s 2009 Volkwagen Jetta, officers said.

Rozon was taken to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital to be treated for injuries he suffered in the crash.
