Houston, TX : Two children injured, chase suspect airlifted to hospital after crash in northwest Harris County on Monday, Oct 12, 2015

Five people, including two children, were taken to the hospital Monday after a chase suspect crashed in northwest Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a deputy spotted a man driving a vehicle that was dragging its bumper around 9 a.m.

The bumper was creating sparks on the roadway so the deputy attempted to pull the driver over, but the man refused to stop.

The driver continued going until he crashed into a vehicle at Antoine and Veterans Memorial.

A mother and her two children, ages 2 and 3, and another occupant were inside the vehicle that was first struck. They were all taken to the hospital and expected to be OK.

The suspect was taken by Life Flight to the hospital. He, too, was expected to survive.

A METRO bus was also struck by flying debris.
