Emporia, KS : Four injured in two-vehicle wreck on Friday, December 2nd, 2016
A two-vehicle collision in Lyon County resulted in four people going to the hospital Friday night.
At about 9:10 p.m. Friday, scanner traffic indicated an injury accident at the intersection of Road 210 and Burlingame Road northeast of Emporia. Lyon County Sheriff's Office deputies and the Emporia-Lyon County Ambulance responded to the wreck.
According to Deputy Justin Carr, Call Dold of Emporia was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus east on Road 210 and failed to stop when he reached the stop sign at Burlingame Road. His vehicle was struck by 2014 Chevy Silvarado pickup driven by Timothy Spivey of Rosiclare, Illinois — which was northbound on Burlingame Road.
Spivey and his passenger, Lucinda Spivey, were transported by ambulance to Newman Regional Health. Dold and his passenger, Quinn Dold, were transported by private vehicle to Newman Regional Health.
The accident is still be investigated by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
