FITCHBURG, WI : Fitchburg officers suffer minor injuries in head-on crash on Tuesday, 9th January 2024

Two Fitchburg police officers suffered minor injuries after a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said the officers were traveling south on Commerce Park Drive near Cottonwood Drive at around 1:35 p.m. when a northbound driver lost control and hit their vehicle head on.

Both officers were taken to a hospital and have since been discharged. The other driver involved suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

Police said that weather was a factor in the crash and the Dane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
