McHenry, MD : Kentucky man killed in Garrett County rig crash on Tuesday, July 12, 2016

A 37-year-old Kentucky man lost his life Tuesday when his tractor-trailed traveled out of control and overturned on eastbound Interstate 68 at the 17-mile marker near Keyser's Ridge, according to Maryland State Police.

Police said Dewayne Cameron, of Louisville, was ejected from the rig during the 5:24 a.m. crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the state medical examiner's office.

Police said Cameron was operating a 2006 Volvo tractor pulling a semi-trailer loaded with recycled plastic when the eastbound rig traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned on the shoulder.

The tractor and trailer were registered to AMG Logistics of Bolinbrook, Illinois.

As of 9:50 a.m., eastbound I-68 remained closed for removal of the tractor and trailer. Westbound lanes were open to traffic.
