LAS VEGAS, NV : 1 person transported after crash involving pedestrian, multiple vehicles in east valley on Wednesday, 27th September 2023

A man is dead after he was struck by a car that jumped a sidewalk in the east Las Vegas valley Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say the collision was reported around 7:53 a.m. on Flamingo Road west of Pearl Street, just east of Pecos Road.

Investigators believe an extended RTC bus was stopped at a designated stop in the bus lane on westbound Flamingo. A 67-year-old man got off the bus and was walking east toward Pearl Street on the north sidewalk.

At the same time, a 2022 Nissan Sentra was heading west on Flamingo approaching the intersection. As traffic started to slow, the Nissan swerved to the right and jumped onto the north sidewalk, hitting a light pole and the pedestrian, according to LVMPD.
