A man died and two others were injured Friday in a crash on Highway 410 near Greenwater, Pierce County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A man, 73, driving a Jeep Cherokee westbound near milepost 33 crossed the centerline shortly before noon and struck three eastbound motorcyclists, killing a man, 60, on one of them, troopers said.
The driver of the Jeep and another motorcyclist, 66, suffered injuries, though the extent was unknown. They were taken to Harborview Medical Center, troopers said.
The third motorycylist was not hurt, troopers said.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed. He was from Bothell, troopers said.
Authorities closed the eastbound lane for six hours to investigate, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
