PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, IN : One person was airlifted from the scene of a rollover motor vehicle crash on Thursday, June 15, 2017

One person was airlifted from the scene of a rollover motor vehicle crash at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at McCool Road and County Road 875 North, police said.

The crash involved three vehicles.

Christopher McHugh, 18, of Portage, had to be extricated from his gold 2000 Jeep Sport and was taken by Lutheran Air for lower body and head pain, a news release states.

Another driver, Kathleen Flory-Smith, 72, of Chesterton, was treated at the scene for a hand injury and released. The third driver, Andrew Rees, 37, of Chesterton was uninjured.
