TEXARKANA, TX : Child hit killed in Texarkana on Thursday, 21st March 2024

Texarkana police are investigating after a 1-year-old boy was struck and killed by a car.

It happened just before 2 p.m. in the 3700 block of Magnolia Street.

Police believe the toddler snuck out of the apartment unit and was playing in the parking lot when the driver of a vehicle hit him.

Investigators do not believe the 28-year-old driver saw the child when he pulled in.

The driver and several witnesses on the scene called 911.
