St. George, UT : Teenage girl died from injuries in a car crash near the Utah-Arizona border on Thursday, April 7, 2016

An 18-year-old woman from Colorado City, Arizona, has died after being critically injured when the vehicle she was in rolled over on a dirt road outside the city.

Police were called to a report of a rollover about 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, arriving to find a small red pickup stuck on its side after rolling over on County Road 5, several miles south of the Colorado City Airport, Fire Chief Kevin Barlow said.

All four occupants had been ejected from the vehicle in the crash, which Barlow described as happening just “south of the bend” along the roadway, known to locals as the Clay Hole Road.

Duputies reported observing empty beer cans and smelling alcohol when they arrived, according to a report from the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Two of the people involved, Rosie Dockstader and Tyler Roundy, were injured but still awake and able to walk when emergency crews arrived, according to the report.

They were able to dial 911 and call for help.

Two others, Dixon Barlow and Cassie Dockstader, were incapacitated and in critical condition.

Cassie Dockstader was in poor enough condition that medical personnel decided not to use a helicopter to transport her, and Barlow said crews decided to take her by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center instead.

She later died from her injuries.

Barlow was still hospitalized as of late Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation, but officers indicated that speed and alcohol were believed to have been factors in the crash.
