Brooksville, FL : Tampa woman ticketed for careless driving after collision with Hernando school bus Monday morning, Sep 21, 2015

A Tampa woman was cited for careless driving after her car slammed into the rear of a Hernando school bus Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jan Robert, 54, was driving a 2010 Honda Fit west on Ayers Road, just west of Culbreath Road, south of Brooksville, about 8:10 a.m. The school bus, driven by Jo Ellen Clements, 68, of Spring Hill, and carrying three students, had stopped to pick up another student. Robert, who was traveling behind the bus, did not brake in time and struck the rear of the bus, an FHP report stated.

No one on the bus was injured. Robert had to be extricated from her vehicle and was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point with what the FHP described as minor injures.
