A 21-year-old Indiana man was sent to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle at about 8 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 84 in Meridian, according to Idaho State Police.
Jarrett Leeland, 21, of Fountaintown, Ind., was eastbound on I-84 on a 1993 Honda motorcycle. Just west of the Meridian Road overpass, he failed to stop for slower traffic and struck a 2006 Nissan Xterra driven by Kelley Miller, 23, of Nampa.
Leeland was wearing a helmet, ISP reports. He was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he was in fair condition Tuesday evening, a hospital spokesman said.
The left lane of eastbound I-84 was blocked for about an hour as crews cleared the scene.
