Montgomery, AL : Bike-car crash in Limestone County leaves one dead on Sunday, August 6, 2017

A crash involving a car and a bicycle left one dead in north Alabama today, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Alabama State Troopers were on the scene of the crash on Alabama 127 near Sugar Hill Lane in Limestone County.

Evaristo Ocampo, 66, of Athens was killed when the bicycle he was operating was struck by a 2001 Ford driven by Jacob Lewis, 30, also of Athens. Ocampo was pronounced dead at the scene. Lewis was not injured. The crash occurred at 8:10 a.m. on Alabama 127 one mile north of Athens.
