Hutchinson, KS : A 19-year-old Newton woman was injured in a rollover crash on May, Sunday, 14th 2017

A 19-year-old Newton woman was injured in a rollover crash Sunday afternoon in Reno County.

According to a report by the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, Davore Sharp, 20, of Wichita was driving eastbound on K-96 about 1:05 p.m. Because of an unspecified distraction, Sharp lost control of the passenger car just west of the junction with Yoder Road, went off the left side of the road, struck the grass embankment in the median and rolled two or three times.

Sharp reported minor injuries, while his passenger, Delani Hughes, 19, of Newton was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for injuries.

The sheriff’s office reported the car’s airbags deployed and neither person was using a seat belt.
