KANSAS CITY, MO : Child critically injured in hit-and-run crash on Tuesday, 13th June 2023

An 8-year-old child suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Kansas City Tuesday night.

Witnesses say the car slowed briefly after hitting the child before taking-off, even though the child hit the windshield.

The family of that child identified him as DJ Solivan. The family tells FOX4 there is renewed hope he will pull-through after making progress in the hospital.
