Bergen, NY : Rochester man was injured in a Motor vehicle accident at intersection of Route 33 and West Bergen Road on Thursday morning, May 12, 2016
A Rochester man was extricated and flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital after a his vehicle was struck head-on by a work truck Thursday morning.
Robert J. Bartz, 66, was driving westbound in a sedan on Clinton Street Road at the intersection with West Bergen Road when his vehicle was struck around 7:27 a.m., the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office reports.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Glen A. Enouen, 52, of Batavia was eastbound on Clinton Street Road in a work truck when his vehicle traveled over the center of the roadway.
Both Enouen and a passenger in his vehicle were uninjured in the accident, which a Sheriff’s Office investigation has determined was not caused by speed or impairment from alcohol of drugs.
Responders from the Town of Bergen Volunteer Fire Department, Town of Byron Volunteer Fire Department, Churchville Volunteer Fire Department, Mercy EMS and Mercy Flight joined together at the accident site, working throughout the morning to free Bartz, entrapped in his vehicle, transport him for additional treatment and investigate the collision.
