Rock County, WI : Driver killed after single-vehicle crash on Highway Y in the Town of Harmony on Thursday, June 25, 2015

A 57-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday after his sedan crossed both lanes of traffic on a Rock County highway, drove in a ditch and hit a tree head on.

In a news release, the Rock County sheriff's office said it was unclear what caused the crash. The sheriff's office said it received reports of the one-vehicle crash on Highway Y in the Town of Harmony about 4:28 a.m. When deputies arrived, they found the 2011 Cadillac sedan's only occupant, a 57-year-old man, pinned inside the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

The crash closed County Y for three hours as the county's reconstruction team worked at the scene.
