CORALVILLE, IA : I-80 westbound closed near Coralville due to serious crash on Thursday, 31st January 2019

The Iowa State Patrol said several vehicles were involved in a fatal crash Thursday afternoon that closed westbound I-380 in Coralville.The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 at milemarker 242.5. According to a crash report, a total of seven passenger vehicles and four tractor trailers crashed.

The driver of a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe died. The driver of a 2017 Ford Transit Connect is at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with injuries. There's no word on that person's condition.
