Lubbock, TX : 1 seriously injured, Clovis Road lanes closed after crash in the 2100 block of Clovis Road on Monday, 27th August 2018

A 4-year-old child suffered life-threatening injures in a car vs. tractor-trailer crash late Monday afternoon in North Lubbock.

The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Clovis Road, according to Lubbock police.

The crash forced officials to close all eastbound lanes of Clovis Road between North Vernon Avenue and Auburn Street for much of the evening.

Police say a 4-year-old passenger in the car was taken by ambulance to a Lubbock hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Due to the seriousness of the injuries, LPD Crash Investigators responded to the scene to begin an investigation.
