Trenton, N.J : Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash early Tuesday, March 7, 2017

The woman killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash early Tuesday was identified as Lea Pringle, of Yardley, Pa., Trenton police said.

The search for the car that struck the 39-year-old on North Olden Avenue is ongoing, police said.

Police officers found Pringle gravely injured in the 600 block of the road at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police believe she was hit as she crossed the street.

She was pronounced dead a short time later at a city hospital.

Officers found debris from a vehicle at the at the scene and Detective Craig Kirk traced it to a silver Saturn vehicle with a black pinstripe, police have said.
