MIMS, FL : One person was killed when a semi truck crash on Sunday, August 13, 2017
One person was killed when a semi truck crashed into another semi on I-95 Sunday morning.
The crash closed the northbound lanes at State Road 406 for several hours in the Mims area.
A semi truck failed to slow down before it rear-ended another semi, troopers said. The crash caused an explosive fire.
Florida Highway Patrol have not released the name of the driver who caused the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other semi driver, a man from Mississippi, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.
