Lehigh Acres, FL : One person injured in a crash involving a bicyclist in Lehigh Acres on Thursday night, February 12, 2015

One person was injured during a crash involving a bicyclist in Lehigh Acres Thursday night.

The crash happened in the 600 block of Williams Avenue near Fountain Mist Boulevard at 9:49 p.m.

According to witnesses, the bicycle was struck from behind by a silver Hyundai sedan. Upon impact, the bicyclist was eject into the windshield and over the roof of the car.

The bicyclist was take to Lee Memorial Hospital with traumatic injuries.

Williams Avenue is completely closed at this time, according to Florida Highway Patrol. FHP is investigating the crash.
